GIRLS O.C. TOP 10
1. Fairmont Prep, 8-1: Six different Huskies have scored in double figures this season, and Fairmont will be adding skilled Woodbridge-transfer Anjali Ghadi in the coming days.
2. Brea Olinda, 4-1: Star junior forward Tyiona Watkins is scheduled to return to the court at the Nike TOC after missing last week with an illness.
3. Mater Dei, 4-4: The Monarchs four losses have come against teams that are a collective 29-5 on the season.
4. Sonora, 6-0: Meghann Henderson and Lainie James cemented themselves as one of the county’s top one-two combos with a win over Brea Olinda last Wednesday.
5. Troy, 1-3: After a week off, the Warriors are back on the court this week in the Gahr Holiday Classic.
6. Orangewood Academy, 6-2: Senior forward Estefania Giner is averaging just shy of 17 points per game, and posted a pair of 20-point performances in last week’s Spartan Classic.
7. Los Alamitos, 7-1: The Griffins will open play in the Santa Barbara High Tournament of Champions on Tuesday night against the host Dons.
8. Esperanza, 9-1: The Aztecs own wins over Orange Lutheran, Santa Margarita and Huntington Beach through their first 10 outings.
9. Rosary, 7-1: The Royals breezed through the Valley Christian Tournament, winning all four of their games by an average of 46.5 points last week.
10. Santa Margarita, 7-2: The Eagles will break until they travel to Las Vegas for the Gator Classic on Dec. 27.
