In the CIF-SS boys basketball Open Division semifinals on Friday:
Bishop Montgomery of Torrance 70, Sierra Canyon 63: Ethan Thompson scored 21 points and Jordan Schakel added 20 for the Knights (26-2) at USC’s Galen Center.
Bishop Montgomery won the Open Division title in 2015.
Bishop Montgomery shot 46 percent from the floor. Sierra Canyon (27-2) shot 38 percent.
Remy Martin scored 16 points with six assists for Sierra Canyon.
Sierra Canyon is ranked No. 1 in the California top 20 as compiled by CalHiSports.com. Bishop Montgomery is No. 3.
Thompson signed with Oregon State. Schakel signed with San Diego State.
