Home stadium: Estancia High

Outlook: The Eagles have won 11 league games in a row following a second consecutive perfect run through the league. They are again the favorites, though the better question might be whether Estancia can compete with its brethren from the Pacific Coast League, which has dominated the Southern Division in recent years and handed the Eagles all three of their defeats last season. Standout Robert Murtha is back to power the running game. He’s joined by 11 returning starters and a myriad of seniors. Estancia is primed to make another deep run, especially if it can replace the production it lost on the defensive line.

Factoid: Last year Estancia became just the second Orange Coast League team since the league’s inception in 2006 to win a playoff game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
RB Robert Murtha: His 2,250 rushing yards were the second most in the county last season. He topped 100 yards in each of his final eight games, breaking 200 yards in four of them.
QB Brad Wilson: He passed for 1,000 yards, rushed for 400 yards and had 11 total touchdowns. He was one of nine players to make the all-league team for Estancia.
