Monarchs advanced to CIF-SS Open Division championship game with wins over Roosevelt of Eastvale, Chino Hills.
2. Santa Margarita 21-8 (45)
Eagles lost to Bishop Montgomery and Redondo Union in Open Division playoffs.
3. Esperanza 25-3 (39)
Loss to Oak Park eliminated Aztecs in CIF-SS playoffs, but will play in state tournament.
4. JSerra 18-10 (33)
In Open Division consolation play, Lions defeated Alemany, lost to Damien.
5. Villa Park 23-5 (29)
Spartans advanced to 2AA championship game with wins over Mission Prep, Highland.
6. Edison 23-5 (26)
The Sunset League co-champions were eliminated in 1AA in second round.
7. Saddleback Valley Christian 24-4 (22)
The San Joaquin League champs were eliminated in 3AA in second round.
8. Capistrano Valley 24-6 (13)
Cougars, ranked 10th in O.C. last week, move up after reaching 2A final with wins over Dos Pueblos, Rancho Christian.
9. Los Alamitos 22-7 (11)
Sunset League co-champions lost to Etiwanda in 1AA quarterfinals.
10. Sonora 25-4 (7)
Freeway League champions eliminated in second round of 1AA playoffs.
