Elder is a senior setter for the Spartans. She earned first-team all-league honors last season.She is enrolled in AP art history, AP calculus BC, AP English literature, AP government, AP macroeconomics and AP physics. Elder is a member of the California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society. She also volunteers for the Assistance League of Orange and the St. Norbert Youth Ministries Confirmation and Vision Team. She also participates in Club Sandwich, Club America, Red Cross, Best Buddies and ASB Ambassador. She worked as a Ronald McDonald junior represenative, planning monthly dinners for the Ronald McDonald House of Santa Ana.
