Mater Dei's Duarte commits to UCLA

Mater Dei tight end/linebacker Thomas Duarte, who was the Register's All-County offensive player of the year for 2012, announced Friday night that he has committed to UCLA.

Duarte made the announcement before playing in the Semper Fidelis All-Star Game at the Home Depot Center in Carson.

Duarte was also considering USC, Notre Dame, Oregon and Washington.
