New CIF-SS football polls (Sept. 29)

OCVarsity.com

Mission Viejo moved up to No. 2 in the Pac-5 rankings, and four county teams claimed No. 1 spots in the new CIF-SS football polls that were released Monday.

The CIF rankings are determined by the football coaches.

The Diablos (4-0) jumped two spots to take the spot just behind No. 1 Long Beach Poly (3-0) in the Pac-5, as last week's No. 2 team, Crespi, fell after losing to St. Bonaventure. Last week's No. 3 team, Edison, also tumbled after a loss on Friday.

There are six county teams in the Pac-5 top 10, and the Trinity League's St. John Bosco (4-0) also holds a spot.

The county's No. 1-ranked teams are La Habra (Southwest Division), Laguna Hills (Southern Division), St. Margaret's (East Valley Division) and Saddleback Valley Christian (Northeast Division).

Don't forget that the new OCVarsity.com top 10 and Fryer's list of the 11-25 teams came out Monday. (Click here to check them out.)
