GIRLS BASKETBALL O.C. TOP 10

1. Troy, 19-6

The Warriors are the lone county squad alive in the Open Division championship bracket following its road win over Alemany this past Saturday.

2. Fairmont Prep, 20-7

The Huskies will play Long Beach Millikan in the Open Division consolation bracket on Wednesday.

3. Mater Dei, 20-7

The Monarchs will host Windward in the Open Division’s consolation bracket after a tough 59-58 loss to Harvard-Westlake on Saturday.

4. Brea Olinda, 21-6

The Ladycats get a second crack at Orangewood Academy later this week in the Open Division’s consolation bracket.

5. Orangewood Academy, 19-8

The Spartans previously topped Brea Olinda by 19 points when the two teams played back on January 7.

6. Esperanza, 25-3

Freshman guard Katie Kubo scored a season-high 15 points in a second-round win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart.

7. Rosary, 22-5

The Royals play their first home playoff game on Wednesday when a 25-win Twentynine Palms team comes to town.

8. Sonora, 21-7

The Raiders hit the road and will play at Canyon of Canyon Country in Wednesday’s quarterfinals.

9. Orange Lutheran, 21-7

The Lancers season came to an end following a 45-35 loss to Oaks Christian in Saturday’s Division 1AA second round.

10. Huntington Beach, 20-7

Senior Frankie Wade-Sanchez’s 32-point effort against Summit was her second highest scoring performance of the season.
