Corona del Mar, Beckman, Saddleback Valley Christian and Crean Lutheran will compete in the upcoming CIF SoCal Regional Volleyball Championships.
CdM is the third seed in Division I and will host Cathedral Catholic of San Diego in the first round, Tuesday at 7 p.m. Beckman, which lost in the CIF-SS Division 1 semifinals, is the seventh seed and will open on the road at Buchanan of Clovis.
CdM has won two consecutive regional Division II titles (2014 and 2015). Loyola of Los Angeles is the top seed in the Division I bracket.
If both CdM and Beckman win their first-round matches, then the Pacific Coast League rivals will meet in the second round Thursday.
Saddleback Valley Christian is the top seed in Division III. SVC has lost in the finals the previous two years. SVC will host Sage Creek of Carlsbad in the first round.
Crean Lutheran is the fifth seed and opens on the road against El Camino of Oceanside.
If SVC and Crean Lutheran are victorious, then they would face off Thursday. SVC swept Crean Lutheran in Saturday’s CIF-SS Division 4 final.
There are three divisions for the regional championships. The finals will take place Saturday at Edison High.
