SATURDAY’S GAME

BOYS BASKETBALL

CIF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONALS FINALS

Division 3

Santa Margarita (26-8) vs. Chaminade of West Hills (25-6)

At Colony High (Ontario), 8 p.m.

Fan info: Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors (65 and over), children (5 and over) and students with valid student ID. Parking: $5.

Outlook: No. 3 seed Santa Margarita won the CIF-SS Division 3AA title two weeks ago. The senior-laden Eagles are tall and like to share the ball, as four players average between 14 and 9 points. Point guard Devonte Klines vacillates between playmaker and passer. All-CIF forward Joe Furstinger does the dirty work inside, with help from forwards Sjur Berg and Brett Oosdyke. The defensive-minded Eagles have won eight in a row under second-year coach Jeff Reinert, this after finishing third in the Trinity League. They’re seeking the program’s third state title and first since 2008. Top-seeded Chaminade, which lost in the Division 3 regional final last year, participated in this year’s CIF-SS Open Division. The Eagles are loaded in the frontcourt, led by 6-foot-10 Trevor Stanback and 6-8 Jack Williams. Guard Michael Oguine oozes athleticism and Justin Eisen is a sharpshooter.
