Playoff updates: Sites, times for Tuesday's semifinals
Trabuco Hills won the coin flip that made the Mustangs the home team for their CIF-Southern Section Division 2 semifinal baseball game Tuesday against Aliso Niguel.
Mater Dei vs. Newbury Park was selected to be the 7 p.m. game in the Division 1 semifinals Tuesday at Blair Field in Long Beach.
Because Aliso Niguel and Trabuco Hills have played the same number of playoff home games, a coin flip was needed to decide the home team for the 3:15 p.m. game. Aliso Niguel beat Trabuco two out of three in their three-game series in the Sea View League.
In other semifinals Tuesday, all at 3:15 p.m., Beckman is at Alhambra in Division 3, and Capistrano Valley Christian plays St. Margaret's at San Juan Sports Park in Division 6.
The Division 1 baseball semifinals for years have been played as a doubleheader at Blair. The 4 p.m. game is the other D1 semifinal, West Ranch of Stevenson Ranch vs. Corona. In the quarterfinals Friday, West Ranch beat top-seeded Orange Lutheran and Corona defeated El Dorado.
Tickets for the semifinals doubleheader are $6 for adults and $4 for students with valid student identification and for people 13 and younger. Parking is free at Blair Field.
