The junior ace capped a stellar showing at the Dave Kops Tournament of Champions in Arizona with a 10-strikeout performance against Mater Dei in leading Los Alamitos to an 11-1 win in the championship finale. Denhart struck out 39 in four starts last week, scattering 13 hits against some of the West Coast’s top competition.
