The Mater Dei girls lacrosse team was honored last week on campus with a rally to commemorate the perfect 2016 season that saw the Monarchs win both the Orange County and Southern Section titles.
During the rally a banner was raised to the rafters inside the Meruelo Athletic Center to recognize the title winning season.
Mater Dei also recognized the five seniors that have committed to colleges: Courtney Wallburger, Kenzie Wallevand and Lauren Gonzales (Fresno State), Grace Houser (Cal) and Madeline Hooks (Mercyhurst).
The Monarchs had just three seniors on last year’s roster.
