Mater Dei girls basketball coach Kevin Kiernan confirmed Wednesday evening that talented junior forward Neah Odom is no longer a part of the Monarchs program.

“I have not seen Neah since spring when school let out,” Kiernan said via text message. “Not sure where she went, have not heard from her.

“She is a really talented kid and we wish her the best!”

Odom, a rangy 6-foot forward, has reportedly transferred to Chaminade of West Hills. This will be her third different school in as many years.

After beginning her high school career at Los Alamitos High, Odom transferred to Mater Dei as a sophomore, where she became the team’s second-leading scorer behind Katie Lou Samuelson after becoming eligible in January.
