Last season record: 2-8, 0-5 league

Postseason: 2004, lost to Tesoro, 49-7, in Division IX first round

Coach: Ted Crego (4th year, 4-26)

Home stadium: Santa Ana Stadium and Segerstrom High

Outlook: Expect the Centurions to make a push for its first postseason berth in eight years. Crego says this year’s squad is “bigger, stronger and faster” than any team he’s coached at Century. The Centurions do possess talent at the skilled positions, but the team does lack depth. They return just one first team all-leaguer in Lino Farias. Century is likely another season away from seriously contending for a playoff berth.

Factoid: Ted Crego was named the league’s Coach of the Year last season despite the team’s winless league record. “The (league’s) coaches noticed the strides the kids made despite our record,” said Crego.
