Girls lacrosse preview: Top players to watch

The top O.C. players to watch for in the 2015 girls lacrosse season.

Claire Duchene, Beckman, Sr., G: Duchene earned first-team All-County honors last season. She recorded 169 saves as the Patriots reached the county title game.

Grace Houser, Mater Dei, So., MF: She scored 41 goals and won 52 draws to lead the Monarchs to the quarterfinals.

Dominique Loney, Los Alamitos, Sr., D: Loney was a key figure in a strong defense last year. She forced 20 turnovers as a junior.

Shea O’Donnell, Beckman, Sr., MF: As a junior, O’Donnell scored 62 goals, added eight assists and was selected first-team All-County.

Jennelle Phillips, Trabuco Hills, Sr., Attack: Phillips was one of the county’s top offensive threats last year, scoring 79 goals and adding 12 assists.
