Two national high school football all-star games this weekend will feature top players from Orange County.

Five county players, including Register offensive player of the year Sam Darnold of San Clemente, are expected to play in Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The county also will be represented by a trio of Trinity League standouts in quarterback Travis Waller of Servite (Oregon commit), safety/wide receiver Ben Humphreys of Mater Dei (Duke) and Orange Lutheran All-County defensive end Keisean Lucier-South (UCLA) and All-County punter Blake Johnson of Los Alamitos (Arkansas).

Waller, Humphreys, Lucier-South and Johnson will play for the West while Darnold will suit up for the East. The game airs live on KNBC/4 at 10 a.m.

Darnold, a USC commit at quarterback, passed for a school-record 2,996 yards and 39 touchdowns in leading the Tritons to a runner-up finish in the CIF-SS Southwest Division.

Humphreys was announced Friday as the winner of the game’s Glenn Davis award, which honors the West player with excellence in community service, academics and athletics.

Mater Dei All-County defensive lineman Malik McMorris will play Sunday in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl at the StubHub Center in Carson at 6 p.m. The game will air live on Fox Sports 1.

Servite wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and Mater Dei All-County tight end Kyle Penniston (Wisconsin) started off the all-star weekend Friday by playing in the Under Armour All-America Game in St. Petersburg, Fla.
