Catharine Roddy

Santa Margarita

Golf

GPA: 4.86

Roddy is one of the top returning golfers in the county. She earned first-team All-County honors last season. She was one of eight county players to qualify for the SoCal Championships and she finished ninth in the WSCGA SoCal Championships last season, posting a 1-over par 73. She’s off to another great start this season as she was the lone medalist in a pair of matches for the Eagles. She shot a 36 at Tijeras Creek, Sept. 2 against Long Beach Wilson and another 36 against Walnut, at Coto de Caza South. The dedication carries over to the classroom where the senior is currently enrolled in all AP or IB courses (Physics, English, French, Math, Philospohy and Theory of Knowledge), making for a long and busy day. “I try and get my homework done in the day,” she said. “Golf is part of my daily routine.” Roddy has volunteered with the Ocean Institute and she enjoys tutoring and playing the cello. Roddy is first chair cellist in the school ochestra and a member of the school string quartet.
