REDONDO BEACH Santa Margarita junior quarterback KJ Costello, OCVarsity.com’s No. 1-ranked recruit for 2016, has narrowed his college choices to three schools, he said Sunday at the Nike Football Opening Regional.
Costello’s top-three schools are USC, Stanford and Michigan.
He made an unofficial visit to USC on Saturday and Stanford a few weeks ago. He took an unofficial trip to Michigan in the summer, well before the hire of Coach Jim Harbaugh.
Costello said he could announce a decision within two weeks.
“I’m getting real close,” he said.
