He went 5 for 7 with a home run, three doubles, two stolen bases and five RBIs as the Aztecs beat Newbury Park and Mater Dei in the CIF-Southern Section playoffs. Cooper, a senior outfielder who signed with University of San Diego, is batting .427 with 24 RBIs for Esperanza, which plays Long Beach Wilson in the Division 1 semifinals.
