GARDEN GROVE – Behind a dominant rushing performance by senior running back Moby Contreras, Los Amigos defeated Bolsa Grande, 55-0, in a Garden Grove League finale Friday at Garden Grove High.

As has been a constant theme throughout the season, Contreras fueled the Lobos’ offense and made his senior night one to remember, rushing for 323 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries.

The Lobos led, 34-0, at halftime.

It was Contreras’ second 300-yard performance of the season, and it put him over 2,000 yards for the year. He had 197 first-half yards on 17 carries.

Los Amigos (6-4, 4-1) enters next week’s CIF-SS Southern Division playoffs as the Garden Grove League’s No. 2 representative.

The season is over for Bolsa Grande (1-9, 1-4).

Contreras opened the scoring late in the first quarter with a 10-yard rushing score. He added a second 10-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 20-0 with 10:47 left in the first half.

The Lobos’ Abel Amezquita picked off Bolsa Grande’s Anthony Parra with 7:07 left in the second quarter.

The turnover led to Contreras’ third touchdown of the game, a 20-yard score to put the Lobos ahead, 27-0.
