The sophomore cornerback intercepted three passes and returned two of them for touchdowns, to help the Monarchs beat Villa Park, 63-0, on Friday. Cole returned an interception 49 yards for a touchdown midway through the first quarter and returned an interception 96 yards for a score on the final play of the second quarter. He also broke up a pass and added an unassisted tackle in his second varsity game. “It obviously was quite a performance,” Mater Dei coach Bruce Rollinson said. “He understands the mentality of a DB (defensive back), especially a corner, that has to live in the moment.”
