CORONA DEL MAR SEA KINGS
Coach: Scott Meyer (fourth year, 40-4)
Last season: 16-0 overall, 5-0 league
Scouting report: There will be concerns galore about the youth of the Sea Kings’ offense, but there will be no such concerns about their defense. Led by ends Parker Chase and Harrison Carter, the Sea Kings welcome back 10 starters on defense, making it one of the county’s strongest units. Gone are all five starting offensive linemen from last season, but the running game figures to be strong with senior tailback Cole Martin returning. Bo St. Geme and Cole Collins will both be back at receiver. They will be the primary targets for the team’s quarterback, Peter Bush. Barrett Barbato and Brett Greenlee should lead a senior-laden secondary.
