Erik Kirsch has been hired to coach the JSerra boys soccer team, school officials announced on Wednesday. He replaces Oliver Wyss, who is the head coach and general manager of the Orange County Blues professional soccer team.

Kirsch previously served as an assistant coach at JSerra and varsity head coach at Trinity League rival Orange Lutheran. 

“Erik is a proven coach and professional,” JSerra athletic director Jim Hartigan said. “His experience and knowledge of the game and the Trinity League are going to be instrumental in the success of our boys soccer program.”

Kirsh played soccer professioanlly for STV Horst , Gelsenkirchen, Germany and was the head coach and general manager of the Orange County Zodiac.
