Bryce Baum has been removed as the girls volleyball coach at Dana Hills, Athletic Director Tom Faris confirmed in an email Thursday.

“The DHHS athletic department and the admin team have decided to end their relationship with Coach Baum,” Faris said in his email. “In this less than ideal situation, we are hopeful that the girls VB season will continue with minimal disruption.”

Faris added that the team’s assistant coaches will take over the team for now. The Dolphins (5-2), ranked third in the county, will compete in the prestigious Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas this weekend.

Baum didn’t respond to attempts to contact him.
