Standout Saddleback Valley Christian senior cornerback/wide receiver Savai’i Cravens has transferred to Linfield Christian of Temecula, Warriors football coach Brendan Chambers reports.

Cravens (6-1, 175), the brother of former USC standout Su’a Cravens (now with the NFL Redskins), helped the Warriors to a 15-1 record last season and a berth in the V-A state title game.

He was offered by Alabama in the spring.

Cravens racked up 66 catches last season for 1,415 yards and 14 TDs. He also has six interceptions.

Linfield is in Division 7, one division higher than the Warriors.

SVC opens its season a week from today against Northwood at Portola High. It will be the first football game at the new Portola field.
