HUNTINGTON BEACH – Brethren Christian put on a spectacular offensive display Thursday as it rolled to a 63-34 nonleague victory over Flintridge Prep of La Canada at Ocean View High.

Conner Miller threw for 294 yards and six touchdowns for the Warriors (3-0). Andrew Assaf scored three times to go with 146 rushing yards to lead Brethren Christian’s ground attack.

Flintridge Prep (1-2) opened the scoring with a 5-yard run from Andrew Tsangeos.

Brethren Christian trailed for just 28 seconds, as Miller found Jason Fuga from 17 yards out for the Warriors’ first score. Guy Demazeliere followed with a 41-yard touchdown reception to put Brethren Christian on top, 14-6.

The Warriors’ offense continued to roll. Brethren Christian scored touchdowns on its first six drives of the game. The streak was broken only by the halftime buzzer.

In the second quarter, Joshua Gorrell hauled in touchdown catches of 20 and 14 yards on consecutive drives to give the Warriors a 35-12 edge.

Brethren Christian led, 42-20, at halftime.

Joshua Gladysz and Cole Miller also found the end zone for Brethren Christian.

Ryan Garner recorded a sack, and Fuga picked up an interception on defense.

Elliot Witter had 139 rushing yards and Tsangeos accounted for all five of Flintridge Prep’s touchdowns.
