Chavez is a senior forward for the Hawks, who are off to an 8-0-1 start this season. She also competes for the track and field team. Chavez is enrolled in Honors Physics, Honors Biology, Honors Civics, AP Calculus and AP English. She has volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Orange County and participated in delivering meals to the homeless. Chavez has been accepted and offered scholarships at New Mexico, University of San Diego, Loyola Marymount, Chapman and Santa Clara. Her plans are to pursue a career in reconstructive plastic surgery.
