He collected nine hits in 15 at-bats to lead Esperanza to the championship of the Newport Elks Tournament’s Lerner Division. The senior shortstop homered, had a double and a triple and scored seven runs in the Aztecs’ five tournament games. He pitched a scoreless seventh inning in the 5-3 championship game win over Gahr of Cerritos. Hildebrandt was All-Century League first team last season.
