SANTA ANA – Twin brothers Jorge and Jonathan Briseño combined for four rushing touchdowns to help Santa Ana defeat Century, 43-0, in a nonleague game Thursday night at Santa Ana Stadium.

The Saints (1-0) scored on their first four series in the opening half.

Jorge Briseño’s 50-yard return on the opening kickoff set up the Saints’ first score.

Jorge Briseño had either a rush or a reception during the Saints’ first five plays of their series until Jonathan Briseño scored on a 24-yard run 3:42 into the game for the 7-0 advantage. The series went six plays and 39 yards.

Jorge Briseño scored on a 3-yard run with 3:50 remaining in the first quarter. He also scored on runs of 7 and 8 yards in the third quarter.

A wild snap by Centruy (1-1) on a punt attempt sailed into the end zone for a safety, and Santa Ana increased its lead to 9-0 with 5:57 to play in the first quarter.

Jonathan Briseño completed three of his four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown, which came on a 30-yard pass to Chris Nava in the second quarter to put Santa Ana ahead, 22-0.

Jonathan Briseno totaled 88 yards rushing on six carries.

Jorge Briseño tallied 153 yards on 21 carries and had a reception for 10 yards.

Ruben Triscareño ran for 22 yards on six carries and Juan Agustín added 28 yards on six carries for the Centurions.

Santa Ana did not punt until its eighth and final series, which turned out to be the last play of the game.

The Saints have defeated Century in back-to-back to seasons. They won last year’s meeting, 36-0, at Segerstrom High.

For its next game, Santa Ana visits Anaheim on Sept. 11.

Century doesn’t play next week, but it will be host to Bolsa Grande at Santa Ana Stadium on Sept. 18.
