SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – On San Juan Hills’ Western-themed homecoming night, the Stallions quarterback Patrick O’Brien played the gunslinger.

O’Brien threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in the first half of a 48-0 nonleague win over Marina on Friday at San Juan Hills. The Stallions (2-2) scored on four straight drives in the first half, including on consecutive passes from O’Brien in the first quarter.

After Malik Iscandari recovered a Marina (0-4) fumble, Mike Miscione got San Juan Hills on the board with a 3-yard touchdown run.

O’Brien started his big night on the next series with a 31-yard touchdown pass to Christopher Barys.

On the first play of the next series, O’Brien found Jacob Huff deep for a 53-yard touchdown strike. O’Brien completed the two-point conversion to Garrett Cook for a 21-0 lead.

O’Brien scored on a 14-yard run and threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tim Newman for a 34-0 halftime lead.

San Juan Hills shined defensively, too, holding Marina to 68 yards and five first downs while collecting four sacks. Noah Edgerton returned an interception 10 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
