Brethren Christian receiver Guy Demazeliere caught a touchdown pass in the Warriors’ playoff loss Friday night, giving him 40 for his career and sole possession of the county record.

He moved ahead of Jeremy Childs, who had 39 for Los Alamitos (2002-04).

Demazeliere’s TD came in the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ loss to Grace Brethren, 49-21, in the second round of the East Valley Division playoffs.

Brethren Christian quarterback Conner Miller threw for three touchdowns, giving him 47 touchdown this season, which is second all-time in county history. Rancho Alamitos’ Nick Brown, who has 49 TD passes this season, is the record holder.

Coming into this season, the county record for TD passes in one season was 41, which was done twice by El Toro’s Conner Manning.
