LAGUNA BEACH BREAKERS
Coach: Ted Clarke
Last season: 2-8 overall, 1-4 in league
Scouting report: Things are changing for the Breakers. They have a new coach, Ted Clarke, an entirely new coaching staff and they are undergoing a makeover on the field. The Breakers, who had a pair of skill position players transfer out, lack depth, but the opportunity will be there for some new faces to grab playing time. The Breakers return just one starter on defense. One area where they don’t have concerns is quarterback, as senior Jack Simon returns after passing for 1,208 yards and 12 touchdowns a year ago.
Bottom line: The Breakers face a lot of obstacles entering the season, but Clarke is eager to see how this team develops throughout the season.
