Sonora’s Russell Rohlfing (126) has advanced to the quarterfinals at the 26th Annual NHSCA High School Nationals in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Rohlfing had a bye in the first round and then picked up a 10-4 and 5-2 decision. He will face Austin Jamison (North Carolina) in the quarterfinals.

Rohlfing finished sixth at the CIF State Tournament.

At 170, both Mike Marshall (San Clemente) and Andrew Morgan (Fountain Valley) are in the consolation bracket.

Servite’s Michael Vasquez (182) is also alive in the consolation bracket, along with Abe Ochoa (Yorba Linda) at heavyweight.

In the Junior Division, Johnny Knowles (Calvary Chapel, 138) won his first three matches before losing to Austin Scrivani of New Jersey in the quarterfinals. Knowles is still alive in the consolation bracket.

In the Freshman Division, Elijah Palacio (Calvary Chapel, 106) is in the consolation bracket. Palacio won his first two matches of the tournament.
