Center Trent Rivers scored five goals and Jack Leighton added three to help El Toro’s No. 9 boys water polo team capture the South Coast League title with a 14-11 victory at San Clemente on Tuesday.

Sam Gallo had five steals and four assists for El Toro (18-8, 7-0) while Chad Nelson added four steals and two goals.

In another South Coast match:

No. 10 Dana Hills 10, Aliso Niguel 6: Jack McLaughlin and Kai Hanson each scored three goals to lead the visiting Dolphins (15-12, 5-2), who remained in sole possession of second place.

In the Crestview League:

Villa Park 9, Yorba Linda 4: Bradley Wilson scored three goals and Gavin Jones and Bret Leiter added two apiece as the Spartans clinched second place and qualified for the CIF playoffs for the 42nd consecutive year.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Corona del Mar 21, Irvine 10: Tamir Avital scored four goals as the host Sea Kings finished 10-0 to claim another league crown.
