Bret Leiter and Bradley Wilson each scored four goals and Ryan Baumann added three to help Villa Park’s 10th-ranked boys water polo team hold off visiting Los Alamitos, 13-11, in overtime in a season-opening match Tuesday.

Gabe Browning netted five goals for the Griffins.

No. 7 El Toro 13, No. 9 Santa Margarita 9: Jack Leighton dished out eight assists and Chad Nelson netted five goals to lead the visiting Chargers (2-0). Brock Petersen scored five goals for the Eagles.

Aliso Niguel 14, Costa Mesa 11: Nick Ure scored five goals and Colin Knight added four to pace the visiting Wolverines (2-0). Sophomore Caedmon Fisher scored six goals for the Mustangs.

San Juan Hills 14, Segerstrom 11: Brent McClain scored seven goals and Max Miller added five lead the Stallions. San Juan Hills lost to Segerstrom, 14-4, in its opener last season.

No. 3 Orange Lutheran 24, Woodbridge 12: Ash Molthen and Hannes Daube combined for 11 goals to lead the Lancers at Santiago Canyon College.

Troy 20, Don Lugo 11: Tanner Henkhaus scored eight goals and Nick VanSteenhuyse added five to lead the visiting Warriors.

Harvard-Westlake 15, No. 6 Dana Hills 7: Jack McLaughlin scored five goals for the visiting Dolphins.
