Shane Borowski has resigned as baseball coach at Ocean View.
Borowski coached Ocean View for 10 seasons. During his tenure, the Seahawks won a CIF chamionship, in 2010, and five league championships. His record at Ocean View is 162-112-1.
Borowski explained his decision in an email that included, “I feel that it’s time for a little break away from the HS baseball scene. Nothing is wrong, the parents are great, the (administration) is very supportive, it’s actually a great situation to be in for the next coach, I just need to take some time off and re-charge my baseball batteries.”
Coaches work long, long hours with much of the time spent on duties that are outside of what goes on from the first through the last inning of a game.
Borowski also has been an assistant coach at Anaheim and Valencia.
Borowski is among the more active coaches in in county athletics when it comes to promoting to us at ocvarsity.com the good things happening in their program. He always did so in a positive and grateful way.
