Beard, the co-captain of theLightning’s tennis team, is also a stellar example of high achievement in the classroom and around the community. Her classes include: AP English, AP Calculus, AP Physics B, AP Economics, AP Government, and Theatre Ensemble. She is president of the school’s French club, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America club, serves as a peer tutor, and the president and founder of SERVE, which helps to donate used tennis equipment to high schools in need. Beard has also worked in partnership with the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County. Her top college choices are: Duke, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Columbia, USC, Washington University, Virginia, and the University of Pennsylvania. She is considering majoring in Economics and/or Business.
