CONNOLLY’S COMMENTS: Aliso Niguel is seeded No. 2 in the division and will not play until Saturday after being awarded a first-round bye. … A potential meeting with Ocean View in the second round would pit two teams that prefer to play an up-tempo brand up against one another. With junior Madelyn Brauer running the show, the Wolverines have one of the top point guards in the division pulling the strings, making them a threat at capturing the title. … Top-seeded Righetti will likely be waiting for whoever emerges from the bottom half of the bracket. The Warriors (22-3) three losses have come by a single point, in overtime, and its largest being an eight-point setback against Ventura, an Open Division team.
