Lucas Herbert of San Clemente, the Register’s Orange County 2015 baseball player of the year, signed with the Atlanta Braves, it was announced Tuesday.
Herbert, a catcher, reportedly agreed to a $1,125,000 signing bonus. He was drafted by the Braves in the second round and was the 54th choice overall. Herbert had signed with UCLA.
