He scored 25 points, more than half of his team’s total, in a 41-31 win over Oxnard in the CIF-Southern Section Division 2A championship game Saturday at Honda Center. Baker, a 6-foot-3 junior guard, made 7 of 14 shots from the field and was 10 for 11 at the free-throw line. He also had a game-high eight rebounds. Baker is averaging 22 points a game for Capistrano Valley, which was the only Orange County team to win a CIF-SS boys basketball championship this season.
