The Stanford-bound senior captured the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 38.73 seconds) and 100 butterfly (50.32) in automatic CIF Division 1 qualifyingg times to lead the Eagles to a 114-56 season-opening victory against Fountain Valley. He also clocked an automatic All-America time in the 200 free, his national private high school record event.
