Playoff dates: First round (Feb. 16), Second round (Feb. 18), Quarterfinals (Feb. 22), Semifinals (Feb. 25), Championship game (March 3 or 4).
CONNOLLY’S COMMENTS: Forget the first round, San Clemente and Trabuco Hills are already getting ready for their second-round showdown after both squads received opening-round byes. … The Tritons topped the Mustangs, 54-43, on Jan. 5, and coincidentally, are the last team Trabuco Hills has lost to. … The Mustangs have won nine in a row, but to avenge their loss to San Clemente, Sierra Clark and Jordyn Carrido need some help scoring. The winner would likely see second-seeded Bishop Amat (18-7) in the quarters.
